LeBron James is the main man in the NBA, and has been essentially ever since he entered the league. Since becoming the universally agreed upon “best player on the planet“, the cameras have been on him consantly. While it takes a toll, James has gotten more than used to it, and even welcomes it at times.
But since his son, Bronny James, became a household name in high school and college, LeBron doesn’t seem to want anything to do with the extra attention. Who can blame him? Bronny has gotten panned frequently for a “lack of talent”, with many claiming he’s only on the Los Angeles Lakers because of his father. In the midst of the media circus, Bronny has tried to keep a low profile and work on his basketball craft, but that’s impossible in today’s day and age.
LeBron James is leaving social media for the time being
Combining the criticism from haters of both LeBron and Bronny would be too much for most human beings to handle, and it seems like King James has had enough. On Wednesday, LeBron announced that he will be leaving social media indefinitely.
James’ announcement came after he reposted a tweet from Boardroom’s Rich Kleiman, which spoke about the amount of negativity that currently exists within the national sports media landscape. LeBron’s podcast with JJ Redick was mentioned.
James is one of the more criticized players in any sport. Despite being an unequivocal basketball legend, his legacy and accolades continue to be questioned by fans and meda members alike, to this day.
