This Thanksgiving, Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen will not be celebrating together. According to an exclusive source from Page Six, the former couple, who finalized their divorce in 2022, have made separate plans for the holiday.
Gisele, 44, has traveled to Costa Rica with her boyfriend, Joaquim Valente, and their children to spend the holiday together. “Gisele took the kids and headed to Costa Rica with Joaquim [Valente] to spend the holiday with each other,” the insider shared.
Tom Brady already has plans for Thanksgiving
While Gisele and the children are abroad, Brady, 47, will remain in the U.S.
“He’s going to be calling the game for Fox that day and will be tied up with work,” the source explained.
As a Fox Sports NFL broadcaster, Brady will be commentating on the Thanksgiving Day matchup between the Dallas Cowboys and the New York Giants, leaving little time for family celebrations.
Despite being apart, Brady and Bündchen seem to have a supportive co-parenting relationship.
“Tom is supportive and that’s the arrangement he and Gisele have agreed upon,” the insider added.
While Brady won’t be spending Thanksgiving with his family, he will have the opportunity to spend time with his children later in the holiday season.
The couple, who were married for 13 years before their separation in 2022, share two children: Benjamin, 14, and Vivian, 11. Brady is also a father to 17-year-old Jack, whom he shares with ex-girlfriend Bridget Moynahan.
Though they have both moved on in their personal lives, their priority remains their children.
The new chapter in Brady and Bündchen’s lives
Following her split from Brady, Gisele found a new chapter in her life with Joaquim Valente, her jiu-jitsu instructor. A few months after the separation, they began dating, and in October 2023, Gisele announced that she was expecting their first child together. This revelation came as a surprise to Brady.
“Tom knew that things were serious between Gisele and Joaquim, but he never imagined they would be having a child together,” the source said.
Brady was reportedly “stunned” by the news, which “wasn’t something that was on his radar.” While their personal lives have taken different paths, the couple’s focus remains on their children as they navigate the holiday season.
