LeBron James suffers at Lakers but announces he has found the solution to his problem

LeBron James insists he has the answer to the Los Angeles Lakers‘ woes as their slump in the 2024/25 NBA season continues with the team slipping down to eighth in the Western Conference.

The Lakers were comfortably beaten at the Target Center 109-80 by the Minnesota Timberwolves in a season-low offensive performance, with the four-time champion himself only managing to put up 10 points and eight rebounds for four assists.

The 39-year-old also made zero three-pointers from four attempts, had a 50% free throw rate and a 25% field goal percentage as he battles against his own personal struggle for form on December 2.

Now with five defeats in seven, the Lakers are slowly losing touch with the Oklahoma City Thunder at the summit of their conference and they’ve tumbled into the play-in positions, where they are only two games ahead of the Timberwolves who are just outside in 10th.

But now he suggests he might have the answer to his problems as he bids to turn the season around for the team at the Crypto.com Arena as James insists to get out of the rut he has to, “Work. Just work, that’s all.”

However, the Lakers’ Anthony Davis expanded on their struggles slightly more as he said they are struggling for consistency and they are forgetting to do what JJ Redick told them to do at the start of the season, which worked so well.

“A lot of randomness,” Davis told media. “The thing is that we’ve put in place to kind of get us moving the basketball and body movement. We haven’t been doing that.”

Who do the Lakers play next?

The Los Angeles Lakers will be on the road again for their next game as they head to the Kaseya Center to take on the Miami Heat.

The Eastern Conference side are currently 9-10 for the season, so it offers a chance for the 12-9 Lakers to turn their form around. The game will tip-off on Wednesday, December 4 from 19:30 ET/16:30 PT.
