The relationship between Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift has been one of the most talked-about topics in the 2024 NFL season, and during the game between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Los Angeles Chargers on “Sunday Night Football,” commentators Mike Tirico and Cris Collinsworth didn’t miss the opportunity to mention it.

After the Chiefs‘ victory over the Las Vegas Raiders on Black Friday, the team faced off against their AFC West rival, the Chargers. However, this time Taylor Swift was not present at GEHA Field at Arrowhead, as she was performing the final show of her “Eras Tour” in Vancouver, Canada.

This marked the first time this season that the singer missed a Chiefs game, having attended the previous six.

With just over six minutes remaining in the second quarter, the cameras focused on the Chiefs‘ offensive group, prompting Tirico and Collinsworth to talk about Kelce and Swift’s absence.

“Look at No. 87 there, Travis Kelce,” said Tirico. “Swifties, as you know, Taylor’s not in the house tonight. ‘The Eras Tour’ ends tonight in Vancouver after a couple of years of touring around the world.”

This led Collinsworth to send a message to the singer: “Congratulations to her,” he said. “It was incredible… She was amazing.”

It’s worth noting that Collinsworth had also attended a concert during the “Eras Tour” and had praised Swift’s performance, showing admiration for her talent. Taylor Swift’s worldwide tour began in March 2023 and extended until the end of 2024, visiting several continents and including 149 concerts.

Additionally, the relationship between Kelce and Swift has been a recurring topic since they started dating, and NBC commentators didn’t miss the chance to refer to it, even mentioning Kelce’s appearance on stage during one of his girlfriend’s concerts.

For the Chiefs, the victory over the Chargers kept them at the top of the AFC standings, regardless of the outcome of the game.
