Christmas 2024 will not be like any other, as NFL lovers will have a doubleheader, which can be seen all over the planet through Netflix, when the Pittsburgh Steelers host the Kansas City Chiefs and the Houston Texans host the Baltimore Ravens.
These two games will make history, as for the first time on a Christmas Wednesday, Week 17 of the regular season will begin, where several teams are still in the hunt for a postseason berth.
And for these two special games, the NFL also has a big surprise in store for music lovers, as both games will feature great exponents of music, in the case of Mariah Carey and Beyonce.
If you can’t watch the games on Netflix, if you live in the Pittsburgh, Kansas City, Houston or Baltimore areas, you can watch these shows through over-the-air television, where there will be traditional broadcasts of these games
Mariah Carey comes on stage first
The NFL’s Christmas activity will kick off at 1:00 p.m. ET, but before the kickoff of the game between Pittsburgh and Kansas City, Mariah Carey will have a Christmas show.
The voice behind the seasonal hit “All I Want for Christmas is You” will give a pre-show before the start of the first Christmas game, where in addition to singing this hit, other songs such as “Emotions”, “Fly Like a Bird”, “Visions of Love” and “Without You”, a song originally released by Nielsen, will also be heard.
Beyonce returns home for Christmas
Meanwhile, the second star to give a gift to her fans on Christmas Day will be Beyonce, who will perform at halftime of the game between the Texans and Ravens, which will take place at NRG Stadium in Houston, her hometown.
Beyonce’s show is scheduled to start at approximately 4:30 p.m. ET, when the Ravens and Texans go to halftime, at which time the Texan will perform some of her hits such as Dangerously in Love, or her latest single, Texas Hold ‘Em.
