It seems like Shedeur Sanders’ long-awaited stint with the New York Giants ended before it began. However, the former Colorado Buffaloes quarterback is not losing his optimism. Drawing on his deep spiritual conviction, he assured that no matter what happens, he will end up with the right team.
The results of the last two weeks of the regular season relegated the Giants to the third pick spot in the 2025 NFL Draft. Now, New York is behind the Tennessee Titans and Cleveland Browns, teams that could really use some talent under center.
In a class with limited talent at quarterback, this position seriously limits the Giants’ chances of landing Sanders unless they manage to put together a generous offer that allows them to jump the other two teams. However, Deion Sanders’ son is not worried.

Shedeur confident about the future
Speaking to The Giants Report on X (formerly Twitter), Shedeur said he was delighted with the draft order. “But honestly, I’ve been doing a lot of thinking. What’s meant to happen is going to happen,” he said. “I don’t think God’s going to put me in a place that I’m not supposed to go.”
He also showed confidence in his talent and assured that he will succeed no matter where he goes. “We’ve made it everywhere that we have gone and been successful,” said the former Buffs star.
“I’m not paying attention to people,” Sanders warned. “They’re going to try and paint a different picture of me, all that type of stuff. I’m happy with the order.”
Experts still give Shedeur a chance
Some analysts believe Sanders has his spot secured in New York. According to projections, the Titans would keep quarterback Cam Ward, while the Browns would select cornerback/receiver Travis Hunter, making way for the Giants to select Shedeur.
The 2025 NFL Draft is just over three months away. Free agency will also take place in that time, and that will surely drastically change the needs of each team. Nothing is set in stone, and Shedeur Sanders knows it.
