Vince Carter is honored during Nets vs Heat game and he breaks into tears


Vince Carter was honored by the Nets this afternoon during the half-time of the game against the Miami Heat. He was emotionally with this action from the organization, he even broke into tears after seeing his second #15 NBA jersey retired.

Vinsanity in tears! Special moment for Vince Carter

Back in November the Toronto Raptors also inducted the #15 into inmortality. He has joined a special players list with jerseys retired by multiple franchises: For nearly 18 years he led the league in shots made from 30 + feet.He was one of the first players to consistently attempt three pointers.

Vinsanity will be on history records for so long, not only for his records but for his popularity. People from NBA culture love this man. Today the first 10 thousand attendees were gifted with a Vince Carter bobblehead.

Vince Carter posted true legend stats during his stay on the Nets; during the 2004-05 season he averaged 27.5 points per game being a franchise record as the highest average in a single season.

Next season, he made 23 free throws on December 23 of 2005, being another franchise record for free throws made during a game for a Nets player.

In the 2006-07 he earned two franchise records; scoring 2070 points most in a single season for any Nets player. Also, on December 11 of 2006 he attempted 20 three point shots being the most for a single game in the franchise history. All of these records are active records.
