Mavericks’ decision with Doncic leaves Micah Parsons asking: “What the hell is going on in Dallas?”

The NBA saw the biggest trade in recent memory early Sunday morning, and Dallas Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons was as shocked as everyone else, reported the portal athlonsports.com.

After the Los Angeles Lakers 128-112 victory over the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden, what is possibly the biggest trade in NBA history was revealed.

Suspicious video resurfaces! Luka Doncic’s awkward moment hints at tension before Mavericks trade to Lakers

ESPN revealed that the Lakers would send Anthony Davis to the Dallas Mavericks in exchange for 25-year-old Slovenian superstar Luka Doncic, as part of a three-team deal that also involved the Utah Jazz.

The complete change was as follows:

  • Lakers: Luka Doncic, Maxi Kleber, Markieff Morris
  • Mavericks: Anthony Davis, Max Christie, Lakers’ 2029 first-round pick
  • Jazz: Jalen Hood-Schifino, Clippers 2025 second-round pick, Mavericks 2025 second-round pick

Parsons’ reaction to Luka Doncic’s departure from Mavs

Shortly after this move was announced, Micah Parsons, who has become a superstar in Dallas with more than 10 quarterback sacks in each of his first four seasons in the NFL, posted a strong reaction to the trade.

“What the hell is going on in Dallas?”, Parsons wrote on X.

The Mavericks’ decision to trade Doncic seemingly came out of nowhere, especially after reaching the NBA Finals the previous season. It’s safe to say that Dallas came close, but now, with Davis and not Luka, it remains to be seen what the Mavericks can do.

Even Parsons believed the Mavs were on the verge of winning the NBA Finals, after before the start of the current season Parsons shared his opinion on the Doncic-led Mavericks.

“I think they’re close to a title. They have a great group of guys. They added a couple of pieces this offseason. So it’s going to be a very interesting team. I think they can really do it,” Parsons said. “Luka is special. Kyrie is special.”

The Lakers will move forward with a new duo of Doncic and LeBron James, while the Mavericks will pair Davis and Kyrie Irving. This may just be the beginning of a wild trade deadline.
