“That’s the most excited I will be ’cause all three [grandkids] are gonna be there,” she said, referring to Sterling, 3, Bronze, 2, and the newest addition to the Mahomes family, baby Golden, who was born less than a month ago.
So I may or may not watch the game, but I will be holding the grandbabies!” she joked.
A special moment for Patrick Mahomes
Martin shared that her quarterback son, 29, was adamant about having all of his children at the game, calling it a “special” moment for him. Despite the chaos of Super Bowl week, she assured his wife, Brittany Mahomes, that she’s ready to step in and help.
“If you need my help, call me up! I’ll stop, drop, and run!” she told Brittany, who recently gave birth but is already back in full support mode for her husband.
As for how Sterling and Bronze are adjusting to their baby sister, Martin said the two older siblings have embraced their new roles.
They love her so much,” she said. “I love seeing the pictures of them all together!
Preparing for the big game, one hour at a time
With the Chiefs set to compete for their third consecutive Super Bowl title, Martin admitted that she tries not to dwell too much on the pressure of the moment.
“I’m really trying not to think as much on it. I just try to think about other things, and then when I get here, I’m like, ‘Oh, my goodness,'” she said.
“So it’s, like, I take it day to day. But when it gets down to this, it’s, like, hour to hour.”
Before the interview ended, Martin was asked whether Taylor Swift-who has been dating Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, would be joining their suite on game day.
Oh, I don’t know yet. We will see where she’ll be,” she responded with a smile, calling Swift “wonderful.
With the Chiefs aiming to make NFL history, the Mahomes family will be cheering from the stands and Randi Martin will be happily embracing her role as the ultimate game-day grandma.
