Jason Kelce has mixed emotions about Super Bowl LIX. While he’s thrilled that his former team, the Philadelphia Eagles, clinched their first title since his championship run in 2017, he also feels for his brother, Travis Kelce, whose Kansas City Chiefs came up short.
On the latest episode of their “New Heights” podcast, the Kelce brothers didn’t shy away from the tough conversation. As Jason reflected on the Eagles‘ dominant season and their road to victory, he couldn’t ignore Travis‘ reaction.

Travis Kelce shuts down any guilt
At one point, Jason paused mid-sentence and asked, “Do you want me to cut all that, Travis? You look like you’re just…”
Before Jason could finish, Travis jumped in. “Dude, no. You’re allowed to have your world, your legacy. You can be happy for your former teammates. Don’t let what happened to me make you feel any less proud of what you’ve helped build.”
Jason quickly dismissed the idea that he played any role in the Eagles‘ latest success. “I didn’t help build (expletive),” he replied.
But Travis wasn’t having it. The Chiefs star insisted that Jason’s 13-year tenure with the Eagles laid an important foundation for the franchise’s success. He credited his brother for his lasting impact on the team, even if Jason refuses to take credit.
Brotherly respect remains strong
Despite the competition between their teams, Travis made it clear that he holds no resentment over Jason’s unwavering support for Philadelphia. Instead of dwelling on the loss, he encouraged his brother to celebrate the Eagles‘ victory without hesitation.
Travis‘ message was simple: he doesn’t need pity. The bond between the Kelce brothers remains as strong as ever, proving once again that family comes before football, even after a Super Bowl heartbreak.
