Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors are on a roll as of lately, as they got their fifth consecutive win Thursday night against the Orlando Magic 121-115.
The NBA All-Star guard scored a season-high 56 points – including 12 3-pointers -, helping his team get the victory after trailing by as many as 17 points in the first half.

As a matter of fact, Curry outscored the Magic 22-21 in the third quarter and he added 13 more points to his total in the fourth quarter to cap his 14th career 50-point game. His 12 3-pointer performance marked the 26th time he has scored more than 10 three pointers; it was also his third game with at least 12.

The Golden State Warriors are back
The Golden State Warriors won their fifth consecutive game Thursday night against the Orlando Magic, matching the team’s longest winning streak of the season. Over that span, the Bay Area team is averaging 122.4 points per game while holding opponents to 103.
The team coached by former Chicago Bulls guard Steve Kerr improved to 15-14 on the road and have won their last three games away from home consecutively. Golden State has improved to 19-3 when scoring 120 or more points.
As for Curry, he achieved his 14th career 50-point game, matching Rick Barry for the second-most in Warriors history and trailing Wilt Chamberlain. His 14 50-point games also tied Barry and LeBron James for the seventh-most 50 point-gams in NBA’s history.
More importantly for the Golden State Warriors, the team has moved to 7th place in the Western Conference, moving ahead of the Minnesota Timberwolves, the Dallas Mavericks and the Sacramento Kings. If the season were to end this week, they will be part of the play-in tournament to determine the final two playoff seeds from the conference.
