The James family got plenty of reasons to celebrate as the youngest son of LeBron and Savannah James, Bryce, and his Sierra Canyon beat Lincoln 58-53 in the California Interscholastic Federation State Championship game.
It was Bryce’s last game in high school as he gets ready to play for the University of Arizona Wildcats, where he hopes to develop his game and make a name for himself on his pursue to make it in the NBA, just like his older brother, Bronny James, who plays for the Los Angeles Lakers.
Hyped up! LeBron James and Savannah James lose their minds during Bryce’s final high school game
The 17-year-old shooting guard, who stands at 6’4 and 190 pounds, finished the state championship game with three points (1-9 FG), five rebounds, two assists, and a block, by no means his best performance during the season or postseason.
LeBron and Savannah James completely lose their minds
LeBron and Savannah James were in attendance for the Sierran Canyon game, along with their daughter, Zhuri. The three of them were super excited to see Bryce giving his best effort during the championship game, as they were jumping and clapping constantly.
At the end of the game, Bryce James hugged his familly and celebrated his great accomplishment, something that his brother Bronny – who also played for Sierra Canyon – couldn’t do during his high school playing years.
“My teammates are my brothers, we always have each other, even if we are hard on each other, we are always going to pick each other back up, get us back to where we need to be. My dad on the sideline, he’s always coaching me everytime I’m doing something, he’s always telling me what to do, he has confidence in me.” said Bryce after the game.
The sky’s the limit for Bryce James
Bryce James is a high level prospect who will have a shot at making it to the league. He’s one of the top players to watch in the 2025 Recruiting Class. He has already grown taller than his older brother Bronny and probably still has some room to grow. He’s also starting to grow into his frame and showing better quickness and twitch.
He’s described as a very skilled outside shooter with a soft touch and near perfect form, Bryce is a big wing with a high skill level and a quickly improving game. He’s shown the ability to score from 3 levels and has a much improved dribble drive game with better bounce and explosiveness.
Has got a strong frame and should continue to add a few more inches to his height over the next few years. He’s not an explosive athlete and his lack of speed, bounce and burst are his biggest drawbacks as a NBA prospect.
