The 2025 MLS All-Star Game between the MLS and LIGA MX All-Stars will be played on Wednesday, July 23 (8 p.m. CT) at Q2 Stadium in Austin, Texas.
The highly anticipated match, which will be the first professional All-Star Game to be played in Austin, will be broadcast live exclusively on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV in English and Spanish.

In addition to the MLS All-Star Game, the 2025 MLS All-Star Skills Challenge presented by AT&T will offer fans an exciting display of skill and competition. It will pit 10 MLS stars against 10 outstanding LIGA MX players in an exciting showdown. The MLS All-Star Skills Challenge will take place on the eve of the MLS All-Star Game on Tuesday, July 22 (8 p.m. CT, MLS Season Pass on Apple TV) at Q2 Stadium.
Tickets for the MLS All-Star Game and the MLS All-Star Skills Challenge presented by AT&T will go on sale to the public on Wednesday, March 26 at 10 a.m. CT on the MLSsoccer.com/All-Star website.

In addition to the match and Skills Challenge at Q2 Stadium, MLS will host a week of events in Austin around the game, including soccer celebrations, community service initiatives and player appearances, as well as a new edition on Monday night of the fourth MLS NEXT All-Star Game presented by Allstate, a free exhibition match featuring the best emerging talent from academies across MLS NEXT. The match kicks off at 7:30 p.m. CT and will be played at Parmer Field at St. David’s Performance Center.
Since its introduction to MLS, Austin FC has sold out every regular season and playoff game played at Q2 Stadium. In addition to Austin FC’s home matches, Q2 Stadium has hosted matches in the 2021 Concacaf Gold Cup, 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers and the 2024 Conmebol Copa America. This will be the first MLS All-Star Game to be played in the state of Texas since 2010, when Houston’s NRG Stadium hosted the matchup between the MLS All-Stars and Manchester United.

Head-to-head between MLS vs. LIGA MX
July’s encounter will mark the fourth MLS All-Star Game between the stars of Major League Soccer and LIGA MX. MLS has won two of the previous three meetings between the two teams, including the inaugural 2021 edition on penalties and also won the 2022 match 2-1 thanks to goals from Carlos Vela (LAFC) and Raul Ruidiaz (Seattle Sounders FC).
LIGA MX secured its first victory over the MLS All-Stars in the 2024 edition, winning 4-1 at Lower.com Field in Columbus.
MLS All-Stars
The MLS All-Star roster will be made up of 12 players selected by fan voting, 12 players selected by MLS All-Star head coach Nico Estevez of Austin FC and two players selected by MLS Commissioner Don Garber. Further details on fan voting will be shared at a later date.
Previous players selected for the MLS All-Star team have included international stars such as FIFA World Cup winners Sergio Busquets, Hugo Lloris and Thiago Almada, as well as standouts from the US and Canadian national teams such as Walker Zimmerman, Miles Robinson and Moise Bombito.
LIGA MX All-Star Team
The LIGA MX All-Star Team will be made up of a total of 26 players. Further details on the selection process will be announced at a later date.
Previous LIGA MX All-Star Game rosters have featured world-class stars, including Mexico national team standouts Santiago Gimenez, Cesar Huerta and Alexis Vega, along with international stars such as Sergio Canales, Andre-Pierre Gignac and Salomon Rondon.
In the MLS All-Star Skills Challenge, LIGA MX has the advantage in the series, two to one. LIGA MX won the first installment in 2021, with former Cruz Azul and current Portland Timbers striker Jonathan Rodriguez sealing the victory. MLS took the honors in Minnesota in 2022, while LIGA MX claimed victory in the 2024 edition when Cruz Azul defender Gonzalo Piovi hit the crossbar for the Victory Shot to give LIGA MX the win.
