News have arrived from Philly. Following a disappointing 6-11 2025 campaign that ended with a fractured locker room, the Eagles enter the 2026 offseason facing a crossroads once again.
Cam Newton drenched J Balvin in water after winning title
This time, the heart of the storm is the team’s most explosive and volatile weapon: A.J. Brown. According to recent reports, the situation between him and the franchise is not the best and the future is a full uncertainty.

A tenuous telationship
While Brown remains one of the main talents in the league, his 2025 season was defined more by sideline appearences and “veiled shots” in the media than by good performances. Despite reaching the 1,000-yard mark for the fourth consecutive year, Brown’s frustration with his usage was palpable.
According to Dianna Russini of The Athletic, the situation is far from resolved. Speaking on Super Bowl weekend in San Francisco, Russini noted that the relationship between Brown and the organization remains “tenuous.” She reported:
“A.J. Brown’s situation with the Eagles is still unresolved… substantial conversations about his future have not yet taken place, but expect talks to ramp up around the NFL Combine in two weeks
Can anybody save the day?
Besides this situation with Brown, the Eagles are not standing still. In an effort to enhance a delicate offense that saw Brown’s yards per reception dip to a career-low 12.1, Philadelphia hired former Packers assistant Sean Mannion as their new offensive coordinator.
Mannion, a rising star from the McVay/Shanahan coaching tree, represents a shift toward more pre-snap motion and ingenuity-elements Brown has publicly advocated for. On a recent podcast appearance, Brown himself seemed cautiously optimistic about the hire, stating, “Sometimes change is not a bad thing.”
Who knows, he can be the one who ends up saving the day from another disappointing season.
