After the craziness that came with the 2024 WNBA Draft, where Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese took all the spotlights. Brooklyn Academy of Music hosted last year’s Draft and drew 1,000 fans, which was a sellout. It was the first time since 2016 that the WNBA Draft took place on a physical location but after what Clark and Reese did and the growth of the league it’s unthinkable that it would occur remotely .

From 2014-2016 the Draft was held at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Connecticut and this year there might be a comeback to Uncasville. The clock is ticking for the WNBA commissioner Cathy Engelbert and there is a huge risk that without a good spectacle on April 14 the league will loose much of the momentum it gained in 2024.
