Amazon AWS Adds Sui Support to Node Runners Service

Amazon Web Services (AWS) has announced the extension of its Node Runners service to include native support for Sui, a move that aims to simplify the deployment of Sui nodes for infrastructure developers, according to The Sui Blog.

Enhanced Node Deployment

The integration allows developers to leverage AWS’s robust cloud infrastructure to set up and deploy Sui Full nodes. These nodes validate on-chain activities such as transactions, checkpoints, and epoch changes, as well as store stake and history data to better service client queries. This offloading of query servicing from Validator nodes allows Validators to focus on transaction processing and updates.

Joining AWS Web3 Activate Provider Program

In addition to the Node Runners support, the Sui Foundation has joined AWS’s Web3 Activate Provider Program. This initiative supports builders with tools, resources, content, and credits. Developers using Node Runners may be eligible for AWS Activate credits, incentivizing the use of the service.

Scalability and Reliability

Node Runners simplifies the process of running blockchain nodes by providing validated deployment templates specifically tailored for scalable node operations on AWS. This service is integrated with the AWS Well-Architected Framework, helping organizations build secure, high-performing, resilient, and efficient node infrastructures. The deployment code is fully open-source and available on GitHub, allowing users to review it before deployment.

Future of Web3 Infrastructure

Amazon’s move to support Sui through its Node Runners service showcases how traditional technology services can adapt to support Web3. This integration creates a unified front for the next generation of global network infrastructure, highlighting the ongoing evolution of cloud services to meet the needs of emerging blockchain technologies.
