Claims have been made that Andy Reid is harming the Kansas City Chiefs with his tactical decisions despite the fact that their form is showing some improvement.
The Chiefs were up against the Cleveland Browns at the weekend and they managed to win 21-7, which takes their record to an improved 13-1 and leaves them on track for a first-round bye in the AFC.
This was their largest margin of victory this season which shows that things have been tougher than they were last season, and many think that Reid and his approach are to blame.

There is no doubt that Reid is a legend of the sport and someone who the Chiefs as a franchise will forever be indebted to. That being said, it is not unfair to ask questions of him when times get tough.
A tough assessment
According to Arrowhead Addict, decisions made by Reid hurt the Chiefs against the Browns and isolated one of their greatest assets. They blame Reid for the fact that Patrick Mahomes is now having tests on his ankle and he could be absent whilst the Chiefs play two games across 10 days.
As the report said: “The Chiefs weren’t even making safe, short throws to keep moving the chains (and more importantly the clock); instead, they were chucking the ball deep downfield with almost no success. Again, I wish that was the end of the frustrations, but the other side effect was that it was exposing Patrick Mahomes to numerous shots that simply weren’t necessary.
“Given that Mahomes finally came up limping heavily after a particularly nasty shot in the 4th quarter, it feels completely fair to criticize the coach for his approach to a game that was both ineffective and completely unintuitive for the situation.”
