Angel Reese’s ex-teammate’s latest photo shoot for Playboy leaves Kayla Nicole ‘on fire’

Kayla Nicole was left speechless after WNBA star Kysre Gondrezick made history with her latest Playboy magazine photoshoot, redefining what it means to blend athleticism, style, and personal branding off the court.

Gondrezick, now a free agent, stars as Miss June 2025 in a retro-glam concept, showcasing her fashion sense, confidence, and the culture of basketball in a striking, multidimensional way that transcends her playing days.

The former Indiana Fever and Chicago Sky guard’s shoot sparked widespread online reactions, and Nicole, famous for dating the Kansas City ChiefsTravis Kelce until 2022, summed up her reaction simply.

With three fire emojis and the words: “I mean,” she expressed her astonishment at the bold and elegant presentation as hundreds continued to react to the post.

Gondrezick views this period away from basketball as an evolution rather than a hiatus, as she has used this time to expand her brand through high-fashion and media opportunities to maintain a strong presence off the court.

Working with the likes of Victoria’s Secret, she has made appearances at New York Fashion Week after being selected No. 4 overall in the 2021 WNBA Draft from West Virginia.

Nicole, meanwhile, is reconsidering her own approach to relationships. On the ‘Tap In With Harry Jowsey‘ podcast, she made it clear she is moving away from dating athletes like Kelce, who is now engaged to Taylor Swift.

“I keep saying I don’t want to date any more athletes,” Nicole said. She added that she’d be open to dating the people who actually run the teams, indicating a strategic pivot in her personal life away from the traditional athlete dating scene.

Angel Reese opens up on Chicago Sky future

Meanwhile, for Angel Reese, she enters 2026 with a clear vision for her career, despite a turbulent sophomore season after publicly criticizing the Chicago Sky‘s roster in a 10-34 campaign.

Reese was suspended for half a game and missed the remainder of the season due to a back injury, creating tension with the front office. But during Team USA training camp, she confirmed her intention to return to the Sky for 2026.

“Basketball-wise, just continue to be great, continue to elevate myself and be a great player, a great person, continue to be an All-Star, break records,” Reese said on her podcast Unapologetically Angel.

Her expectations for the team remain high, as she is focused on winning and making the playoffs in 2026, despite a roster that underperformed after adding Kia Nurse, Rebecca Allen, and Courtney Vandersloot to complement herself and rookie Kamilla Cardoso.

Vandersloot‘s season-ending injury just seven games in, combined with lackluster chemistry, left the Sky struggling.

They finished .227 and last in the Eastern Conference, failing to compete with elite teams like the Indiana Fever, New York Liberty, and Atlanta Dream, exposing weaknesses in the rebuild despite high hopes.

Reese‘s leadership will be crucial as Chicago aims to rebound. With her talent, determination, and insistence on competitiveness, the Sky have a foundation to reestablish themselves, but it will require strategic adjustments, healthy veterans, and stronger team cohesion.
