It was a “normal” play but it has led to him being put on concussion protocol as another NFL player will have to deal with this situation. This time is upcoming star Malik Nabers as this will become another concern for the New York Giants.
It all happened during their 20-15 Thursday night loss to the Dallas Cowboys, as Nabers took a hard hit in the fourth quarter when the Giants were driving to try and take the lead late in the game.
While he was trying to hang on to a pass from Daniel Jones, he was falling out of bounds and then is where he received the hit. He was slow to get up and the alert signs were all over the team’s bench, as they cannot afford to lose their star rookie wideout.
Time to follow protocol
Malik Nabers departed to the locker room accompanied by doctors and trainers as he was immediately evaluated. After the initials tests were in, the wide receiver posted a photo on social media to assure people that was healthy and “ok”.
On the picture he appears pointing to the ceiling with a light turned on and he captioned it “All good Thanks for all the prayers!!!” as he seemed to be just fine after the hit he took.
He had a pretty goo performance on a losing cause, as he has 115 receiving yards on 12 receptions to continue his stellar start to his first season as a professional. He joins now Tua Tagovailoa as another star NFL player that has started their concussion protocol.
