The wildfires sweeping through Los Angeles have left a trail of devastation, including for one member of the Los Angeles Lakers organization. Rohan Ali, a longtime Lakers videographer, revealed that his family’s home in Altadena, where his parents had lived for more than three decades, was completely destroyed.
The fire claimed not only their house but also cherished belongings and keepsakes.
In an effort to help his family recover, Ali started a GoFundMe campaign to raise funds for essential needs such as food, housing, and transportation.
Lakers star Anthony Davis quickly stepped up, making a substantial donation of $20,000 to support Ali‘s family.
Davis‘s contribution has been widely praised, showcasing his dedication to the Lakers community beyond the basketball court.
Another Lakers player, Jarred Vanderbilt, also offered his support with a $4,000 donation.
Together, the contributions from Davis and Vanderbilt have brought attention to the campaign, which seeks to raise $80,000 to help Ali’s family rebuild their lives after the tragic loss.
