The Minnesota Timberwolves’ Anthony Edwards has been accused of having a baby with another woman than his girlfriend but why does Shannon Jackson simply not care too much about it?
The 23-year-old shooting guard has been dating Jackson since 2020 and the pair have a child together, born in March 2024 as the basketball star left an NBA game to go and be present with his kid’s mother.
Yet their relationship took a dramatic twist when it was said that he cheated on his partner of four years and had a baby with Ayesha Howard, as he takes her to court to ascertain whether he’s actually the dad or not.
His unfaithful decision, should it be true, has opened him up to criticism from fans of the couple who have wondered just how Jackson will actually respond but as it turns out, she doesn’t seem to be too bothered and is focusing on her own life with him.
“I’ll say this, Y’all just finding out,” Jackson posted online. “You were saying that I was hurting on the inside or whatever the case, and I’m just. You gotta pick a side. I’m not a wife.”
Howard and Edwards due in court
Howard welcomed her child, also a daughter, to the world through a social media announcement with a date of 10/14, hinting that the child was born on October 14 and so far, Edwards hasn’t commented or responded.
Howard, who also has a child with the rapper Lil Baby, could take the NBA star to court for child support if she chooses to do so, which would see her collect a share of his $260m five-year deal with the Timberwolves.
But interestingly, it’s not the new mother who is taking them to the court room to settle the paternity, it’s actually Edwards as he demands genetic testing before agreeing to pay any child support. The pair will appear before a judge on November 13.
