Claude AI now embeds Slack, Figma, Asana and other productivity tools directly in chat. Built on open MCP Apps standard for cross-platform compatibility.
Anthropic rolled out interactive tool integrations for Claude on January 26, 2026, allowing users to operate Slack, Figma, Asana, and seven other enterprise applications directly within the AI assistant’s interface.
The update eliminates the tab-switching workflow that’s plagued AI productivity tools. Users can now build project timelines in Asana, draft formatted Slack messages, create Figma diagrams, and query Amplitude analytics—all without leaving the Claude conversation window.
What’s Actually Usable Now
Ten integrations launched with full interactive capabilities:
- Amplitude – Build and manipulate analytics charts in real-time
- Asana – Convert conversations into actionable project timelines
- Box – Search, preview, and query document contents inline
- Canva – Generate and customize presentation decks
- Clay – Pull company data, find contacts, draft outreach
- Figma – Create flowcharts and Gantt charts from text prompts
- Hex – Get data answers with interactive visualizations
- Monday.com – Manage boards and track project progress
- Slack – Search conversations, draft messages, format and review before sending
Salesforce integration is coming soon through Agentforce 360, which would bring enterprise CRM context into Claude’s reasoning capabilities.
The Open Standard Play
Anthropic built these integrations on MCP Apps, a new extension to their Model Context Protocol. Here’s why that matters: MCP is open source, meaning any AI application can implement it—not just Claude.
The company is betting that developers will build interactive interfaces on MCP that work across multiple AI platforms. It’s a standards play reminiscent of how USB eventually won the connector wars. Whether competitors adopt it remains to be seen.
Access and Pricing
Interactive tools are available now on web and desktop for Pro, Max, Team, and Enterprise subscribers. The feature will eventually reach Claude Cowork, Anthropic’s collaborative workspace product.
The timing aligns with Anthropic’s broader push on enterprise adoption. Just four days earlier, on January 22, the company unveiled a new constitutional framework embedding safety guidelines directly into Claude’s reasoning—a move aimed at satisfying enterprise compliance requirements.
Users can access the integrations at claude.ai/directory, where apps marked “interactive” support the new embedded functionality.
