Beckham family Easter raises new questions over Brooklyn absence

Beckham family Easter raises new questions over Brooklyn absence

What should have been a straightforward family celebration in Miami instead offered a revealing snapshot of a more complicated reality for the Beckham family.

As David Beckham marked a defining moment in his football ownership journey with the opening of Inter Miami CF’s new Freedom Park stadium, much of his family gathered to celebrate both the milestone and the Easter weekend. Yet one absence quickly shifted the focus.

Victoria Beckham shared a series of carefully curated Easter moments on social media, including personalised hampers prepared for each member of the family.

The gifts were tailored for David and their children Romeo, Cruz and Harper, as well as their partners. But there was no mention, or inclusion. of eldest son Brooklyn Beckham or his wife Nicola Peltz.

In a family known for presenting a polished public image, the omission spoke louder than the celebration itself.

The Miami trip carried significance beyond the holiday. Beckham’s long-term vision for Inter Miami reached another landmark with the unveiling of the club’s new stadium, a project years in the making. Speaking at the event, Beckham reflected on the journey that brought him there.

“When I came to America… my dream was to build my own team,” he said. “Today, I stand in our new home… dreams really can come true.”

The occasion drew support from across his immediate family. Romeo and Cruz both shared tributes, with Cruz writing: “I couldn’t be more proud of you… you have inspired me every day.”

Victoria echoed that sentiment, posting: “We couldn’t be prouder… watching you turn your dream into reality inspires us all every day.”

Yet despite the public show of unity, Brooklyn, who lives in the United States, was not present, even as the family gathered on the same continent.

A feud that continues to shape the narrative

The absence comes amid a prolonged and highly publicised rift. Earlier this year, Brooklyn released a detailed statement distancing himself from his parents and making clear he did not wish to reconcile.

The tension has since surfaced in smaller but telling ways. Social media posts, public appearances and family events have all reflected a growing disconnect, with Brooklyn and Nicola increasingly operating separately from the rest of the family.

Even moments that would traditionally bring families together, such as birthdays, holidays, major career milestones, have instead highlighted the divide.

Public celebration, private questions

The contrast between the Beckhams’ polished public image and the ongoing speculation surrounding their personal relationships remains striking. Events like the Miami celebration serve both purposes at once, reinforcing the brand while inviting scrutiny.

For David Beckham, the focus remains on football and the continued rise of Inter Miami, now home to global stars such as Lionel Messi. But away from the pitch, attention continues to drift toward the family dynamic that once appeared inseparable.

The Easter gathering may have been intended as a moment of celebration. Instead, it has become another chapter in a story still unfolding, and one where what is left unsaid continues to draw the most attention.
