Braxton Berrios and Alix Earle breakup is official: Writing was on the wall during DWTS episode

It’s not easy to make it in the NFL and stay relevant. Braxton Berrios has done very well to carve out a role as a backup wide receiver and return specialist, playing for the New York Jets, Miami Dolphins and now Houston Texans. But it’s been his off-field relationships that have really kept him in the spotlight.

He first dated Olivia Culpo‘s sister, Sophia Culpo, and their relationship ended after an explosive allegation that Berrios was cheating on her. Not long after they broke up, Berrios began dating social media personality Alix Earle, and their relationship became increasingly notable. They became a bit of a social media power couple, but recent rumors suggested the end was nearing. On Saturday, Us Weekly reported that the couple have “mutually agreed” to go their separate ways.

Long distance played major role in Alix Earle and Braxton Berrios’ breakup

Having to do long distance appeared to play a major role in their decision. Some fans believe the writing was on the wall, particularly after the finale of Dancing With the Stars, which Earle recently finished up in second place. Berrios was not in attendance due to NFL obligations, instead sending a video of encouragement to Earle.

While Earle addressed the speculation that their relationship was ending and claimed it wasn’t, it seems like her opinion has now changed.

One fan believes it was after the season finale: “Her face when they showed Braxton’s video to her on DWTS said it all.” Clearly, there were too many differences, and it seems like being far apart from each other played the biggest role in their decision.
