Bronny James is perhaps one of the last names people expected to be connected to the 2024 Presidential Election but Bill Burr deployed the 20-year-old’s reputation to hilariously destroy Kamala Harris after her defeat to Donald Trump.
The Republicans coasted to the victory in the election as they won the right to return to the White House from 2025, claiming the popular vote by three million people as well as winning the Electoral College by 86 points.
It was arguably a bigger shock than when the 78-year-old defeated Hillary Clinton back in 2016 and Burr, the comedian known for acting roles in Breaking Bad and The Mandalorian too, roasted the Democrats and liberals for their misplaced expectations at the expense of Bronny.
“Clearly, I’ve been spending too much time with you white liberals,” Burr told Saturday Night Live. “And your goofy optimism.
“It wasn’t even close. At one point, [Donald] Trump was so far ahead, they put in Bronny [James].”
Bronny struggles in G League debut
Bronny was signed to the Los Angeles Lakers as a second round pick in the 2024 draft but has struggled to make an impression as a professional so far, being limited to cameos in the dying embers if the game is a blowout one way or the other.
That was until he was sent to the South Bay Lakers, LA’s affiliate in the G League, to continue his development after securing history by becoming the first father-son duo in NBA history when he appeared on opening night against the Minnesota Timberwolves with LeBron.
So despite heading to the minor league to continue his development, it hasn’t started off incredibly well. He played his first game on November 9 and only posted six points, three rebounds and four assists.
Whilst that sounds decent, he was 2-for-9 from shooting and missed all four of his efforts for three-point shots in the 116-90 game against the Salt Lake City Stars in front of a sold out crowd which included the LA Lakers’ head coach, LeBron and Anthony Davis.
