Los Angeles Lakers rookie Bronny James is having a rough start to his professional basketball career and he has a long way to go before he can be a regular on the roster.
He’s been playing most of this first year with the South Bay Lakers in the NBA’s Development League, where he’s averaging 13.4 points with 3.4 rebounds and 3.9 assists on 26.9 minutes per game.
Even though it’s too early to make a final statement on Bronny’s ability to become a great NBA player, he has shown flashes that he coult turn out to be a pretty good baller with passing skills and a guy that will always make the effort to improve. But he might never reach his dad’s greatness.
Bronny takes an awful shot and makes fans wonder what’s next
LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers got a decisive win Thursday night over the reigning champion Boston Celtics on Rivalry Week. Who’s considered by many the greatest basketball player of all time got 31 points with 14 rebounds and six assists, while star centerAnthony Davis added 31 points and forward Rui Hachimura contributed with 28 points.
Bronny James was able to play for four minutes but unfortunately was not able to record any points, rebounds or assists. As a matter of fact, the rookie missed the only shot he attempeted during the game… and he missed it badly. Bronny was being guarded by the young Portuguese center Neemias Queta and James tried to get rid of him with a couple of moves and he decided to go for a step-back shot. The result was an awful brick.
Bronny’s facial expression was one of major dissapointment and fans in social media took note of it, expressing their dissapointment, also. “Damn, he ain’t even hit that rim.” an X user posted it. “I feel bad at this point.”, “I’m so glad we paid him so little.” and “Why are they doing this to this kid?” were some of the criticism James faced on social media. The common denominator?
Lavar Ball’s prediction about Bronny and LeBron
With the All-Star Game just a few weeks away, the starters have already been announced and to the surprise of few, they are led by LeBron James, who will be making his 21st appearance, extending his NBA record.
Now the next challenge, or rather dream, for LeBron would undoubtedly be to play an All-Star Game with his son Bronny, something that looks extremely complicated.
Speaking of LeBron and Bronny, a video from a few years ago resurfaced on social media in which Lavar Ball seems to have seen the future as he commented in an interview that there have been many very good players in the NBA but that all those who have tried to have their sons follow in their footsteps in the NBA most of the sons have been extremely inferior or as Ball says “All their sons are wack”.
He also mentioned that LeBron’s sons will have a very difficult time because of the constant comparisons because no matter what they do on the court, they will always be LeBron’s leftovers and right now that is happening with Bronny, watch the video and confirm what Lavar says.
