The poor weather conditions in Orchard Park has forced the Buffalo Bills to make changes to their halftime show for Sunday night’s game against the San Francisco 49ers.
The team was slated to host a ‘Sunday Night Lights’ drone show at Highmark Stadium for the occasion, but due to poor weather conditions following a heavy snowfall over the weekend, the show has been cancelled.
“Due to inclement weather and safety conditions in Orchard Park, the Sunday Night Lights at Highmark Stadium drone show has been postponed for this evening,” the Bills posted on their website.
“The safety of our fans and partners is our utmost priority and we are committed to ensuring a safe and fun Sunday Night Football experience for everyone. We look forward to bringing the drone show back to Highmark Stadium in the future.”
Bills forced to make a change
The drove event was set to take place for the first time on Sunday night. The eight-minute show was slated to feature several Bills-themed formations across the sky.
However, the weather in the area has made that a moot point as significant lake-effect snow has fallen in the area over the past day.
While the game will take place as schedule, the drone event won’t. At this time, there is no clear timeline on when the drone event might take place in the future.
