Caleb Williams blows off CJ Stroud while he was trying to give the rookie quarterback some advice

The Houston Texans defeated the Chicago Bears on Sunday night to improve to 2-0 on the season, as the team from the NFC dropped their first game of the season. Of course, the main story was the quarterback duel between second year starter CJ Stroud and rookie Caleb Williams.

Stroud threw for 260 yards and a touchdown while the Bears scored their first offensive touchdown of the year. However the Bears offense did not look and after the game, Stroud tried to give some pointers to the rookie out of USC. It did not go well.

On a video that has recently surfaced, the Ohio State product walked on to midfield after the game to greet his counterpart and after a handshake and a brief hug, things got really awkward, and nobody expected this to happened.

The strange exchange

After the game it is normal for players and coaches to have a brief exchange and recognize the work that the opponents do, but this time when CJ Stroud wanted to reach Calen Williams and give him advice, it was not taken well.

“Good job out there, bro,” CJ said, to which Caleb replied “Good game… Yeah, keep going.” Then it got weird. Stroud tried to keep talking but Williams tried to walk away as the Texans quarterback said “Hey, stop taking those hits,” and the Bears signal caller only replied “Yeah, I know right?”

CJ took a stand an held him to say “Hey, learn from… learn… hey, come here, learn from those mistakes and everything that you got bro, is in you already bro, you going to be a hell of a player in this league,” while Caleb tried to walk away.

Williams only said “Yup” to end brief exchange that has everyone scratching their heads, even after CJ ended with a “Alright bro” and Caleb added “Appreciate you,” to put an end to this that now has everyone talking.
