Cam Newton admits providing for eight children after retiring from the NFL is hard, as the former Carolina Panther says he no longer feels like a “superman” as he battles to make ends meet after retiring in 2021.
The ex-quarterback earned a salary of six million dollars in his final year at the Bank of America Stadium top up his $5.1m from the New England Patriots in 2020 and previous wealth from his first stint from the Panthers from 2011-2019.

“There’s a famous quote that says in order to get something that you’ve never had, you go to do something that you’ve never done. At 35, I can literally say, ‘Okay now I’m getting prepared for this next chapter of my life.'”
Who are Cam Newton’s children?
Newton shares four children with Kia Proctor (Chosen, Camidas, Cashmere, Sovereign-Dior), but also has a child with LaReina Shaw (Caesar).
He most recently became a father to a daughter with Jasmin Brown in March 2024 after they began dating in 2022, but they’ve yet to reveal the name of the child.
Alongside his own bloodline, he also supports his stepchildren too which brings the number up to eight overall and a hefty financial burden for any American in the United States’ economic climate.
