CeeDee Lamb has had enough of Jerry Jones: He no longer feels part of the Dallas Cowboys

Could the Dallas Cowboys be poised to lose not just Dak Prescott but also CeeDee Lamb? The exceptional receiver, in the final year of his rookie deal, is locked in a contractual feud with the organization’s owner Jerry Jones but why?

Lamb posted 135 receptions from 181 targets in 2023 for 1749 yards and 12 touchdowns in his breakout year as the Cowboys made it to the NFC Wild Card game against the Green Bay Packers.

Establishing himself as one of the finest receivers in the NFL, many thought it would be a priority for Jones and the Cowboys to lock him down for the future but it seems as though the front office at the AT&T Stadium isn’t keen to open their purses to the 25-year-old.

“I don’t have any urgency to get it done,” were the words from Jones to the media, whilst Lamb currently trains away from the team and hasn’t registered an official practise with his colleagues as of yet, with the start of the season one month away.

Perhaps in a damning statement of how his mood is at the moment, Lamb has also removed “America’s Team” from his X.com, formerly Twitter, bio with the words symbolizing the Cowboys‘ historic nickname.

It seems to mean he no longer feels a part of the organization at this feud with the front office rages on whilst the team enters its 30th year without winning or appearing at the Super Bowl game.

Why are the Cowboys being stingy?

Jones will feel as though he’s right to be calling for his players to be modest in their demands as he tries to juggle extensions for Lamb, Prescott and Micah Parsons (running back) too, to hold together the team that was 12-5 and won the 2023 NFC East.

They will also need to pay for Trevon Diggs too, so there’s a lot of hands asking for money and perhaps not as much money as the billionaire worth $13.7bn is willing to part with.
