The Kansas City Chiefs have boosted their defense with the addition of Josh Uche as they get ready to face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Monday night. After the trade with the New England Patriots, now the question is how to use their new player.
In essence the move came at a very cheap price for the Super Bowl Champions, as they only had to give up a 2026 sixth-wound pick to acquire the second- round pass rusher to add to their team.

However, Uche has struggled to get to the quarterback as of late, as he only has five sacks since the start of the 2023 season after finishing the previous season with 11. Joining the Chefs could help his career.
The role for the new player
While it is unknown exactly how the team will exactly use Josh Ushe and head coach Andy Reid provided some knowledge on that, as he looks to have an immediate impact on the field.
“We’ve had the benefit of having played against him, so we know he’s a very aggressive, good pass rusher [and] good all-around player. We’ll work him in with the defensive line rotation-wise,” Reid said in a press conference.
“As long as he can handle everything, and I wouldn’t expect that he wouldn’t, he’ll start today working in there and getting used to what we do,” he added as he believes that the current Chiefs’ defensive line will help Ushe have success.
