Chris Jones’ girlfriend’s brutal comment about Donald Trump may not please Patrick Mahomes or Brittany

Chris Jones‘ partner Sheawna Weathersby made headlines this week with pointed comments about US President Donald Trump.

Sharing her thoughts on Instagram, she criticized Trump‘s decision to pardon over 1,500 people charged in connection with the January 6 Capitol riots.

One of her posts included a video of Trump granting clemency, where she added the caption: “This is some sick sh*it.”

In another Instagram Story, she expressed frustration over his return to the White House, writing, “& ya’ll voted for this fool.”

Trump, who began his second term with bold promises, declared during his inauguration, “The Golden Age of America begins right now.” This declaration, along with his controversial actions, has drawn both praise and criticism from various quarters, including Weathersby.

Weathersby‘s candid remarks aren’t the only connection to high-profile names. She has reportedly grown close to Taylor Swift, who has been a regular at Chiefs games to support her boyfriend, tight end Travis Kelce.

Swift herself has been vocal in her political endorsements, recently throwing her support behind former ice President Kamala Harris.

Political contrasts

While Swift has openly criticized Trump, Brittany Mahomes, the wife of Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, has been labeled a supporter of the former president. Trump himself even weighed in on the contrast during a “Fox & Friends” appearance.

“I actually like Mrs. Mahomes much better if you want to know the truth. She’s a big Trump fan. I was not a Taylor Swift fan. It was just a question of time… She seems to always endorse a Democrat, and she’ll probably pay a price for it in the marketplace,” he said.

Randi Mahomes, Patrick’s mother, also expressed her support for Trump during the 2024 election cycle, creating an interesting dynamic within the Chiefs’ extended family.

Meanwhile, the Kansas City Chiefs are having a season to remember. After finishing the regular season with a franchise-record 15 wins, the Chiefs rolled through the postseason with a convincing 23-14 victory over the Houston Texans in the divisional round.

Jones played a crucial role in the win. His dominating performance, which included contributing to the team’s eight sacks against Houston, showcased why the Chiefs extended his contract with a five-year, $158.75 million deal earlier this year.
