Cristiano Ronaldo is back: a return that has Al Nassr and Portugal hopeful

Cristiano Ronaldo’s return is now a reality and is reigniting excitement among soccer fans. After several weeks of uncertainty due to a hamstring injury, CR7 has completed his rehabilitation and is aiming to rejoin Al-Nassr immediately.

According to Fabrizio Romano, the team captain is expected to be on the field on April 3, when Al Nassr hosts Al-Najma SC at Al-Awwal Park in the Saudi Pro League.

CR7 Returns to Action

The Portuguese star had been dealing with a hamstring injury sustained during the 3-1 victory over Al Fayha on February 28, when he had to be substituted.

As a result, CR7 not only missed the matches against Neom SC and Al Kaleej but was also left out of Portugal’s squad for the two friendly matches ahead of the FIFA World Cup against Mexico and the USMNT.

Now, after completing his rehabilitation in Madrid and Riyadh, the 41-year-old Portuguese player is ready not only to return to action but also to get his goal tally moving again toward the 1,000-goal mark, as his total has been stuck at 965 goals after being sidelined for a month.

Cristiano Ronaldo has been called up and is AVAILABLE to play tomorrow after being sidelined with injury for one month,” Romano stated on Instagram.

“He is back to win the LEAGUE,” “The GOAT is finally back,” “1000 goals loading………” were some of the fans’ reactions.

Furthermore, with his return to the field, Al-Nassr regains its top scorer and captain heading into the final stretch of the championship, where every point is worth its weight in gold. With 8 matches remaining, Jorge Jesus’s team leads with 67 points, while Al-Hilal follows with 64 and Al-Ahli with 62.

But this confirmation brings relief not only to Al-Nassr but also to the Portugal National Team, as there were concerns about his physical condition ahead of the 2026 World Cup.

However, his return reinforces his personal goal of arriving at the tournament in peak form, which could be the last of his career.

Portugal will face Colombia, Uzbekistan, and RD Congo in Group K. On Wednesday, June 17, Portugal will play its first match against the DR Congo. On Tuesday, June 23, they will face Uzbekistan, and on Saturday, June 27, Colombia.

With his return confirmed, Cristiano has reignited the fans’ excitement and made it clear that he remains at the top of his game, with his sights set on continuing to make history.
