The Dallas Cowboys, often referred to as “America’s Team,” always grab the spotlight, despite not reaching the Super Bowl for 28 years. The Cowboys are a team that people either love or hate-there’s no middle ground. Today marks the birthday of their quarterback, Dak Prescott, who turns 31. During today’s practice, he received various gifts from the team, including a framed photo with Ezekiel Elliott, a free TikTok dancing tutorial, a towel, and socks among many other surprises. Prescott’s Final Season with the Cowboys?

Dak is about to begin his ninth season with the team. As a starter, he has led the Cowboys to the playoffs five times but has never advanced past the divisional round. He has also won four NFC East division titles and is just 4,690 yards away from surpassing Tony Romo’s franchise record of 34,183 passing yards. While Dak has been impressive in the regular season, boasting a 73-41 record, his playoff performance has been lacking with a 2-5 record.

Entering the final year of his contract, Dak faces significant pressure. With CeeDee Lamb’s deserved contract demands due to his stellar performance, Micah Parsons’ upcoming deal likely making him the highest-paid defensive player, and the Cowboys’ need for a change at the quarterback position, it’s hard to see Dak staying unless he leads the team to at least a Super Bowl appearance. This season could also be the last for head coach Mike McCarthy with the Lone Star team if they fail to make a deep playoff run.
