With the contract renewals of Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb plus keeping almost the same roster as the last three seasons when they finished with a 12-5 record, it seemed that the Dallas Cowboys (3-3) would once again be a contender during the regular season, but a lousy ground defense, injuries to key players, especially on defense, and the inability to win at home, 0-3 at home and 3-0 on the road, have left the Cowboys’ season in doubt as to how far they can go. Based on what has been shown so far, it does not seem that far, but there are still two-thirds of the season left to try and save or make up for it. The bye week came at the best time for the Cowboys, after such a historic defeat what they need is to rethink their situation and turn the page, especially because the next opponent is on Sunday night against the San Francisco 49ers in California.
