Dan Campbell’s wife can’t keep quiet: Gives major clue to Detroit Lions’ plans

Dan Campbell‘s wife revealed the Detroit Lions‘ head coach has only one goal in the final game of the regular season as she declares they will defeat the Minnesota Vikings to win the NFC North on January 5.

Despite accumulating a 14-2 record, the Lions‘ place in the 2024/25 NFL Playoffs remains completely uncertain due to the efforts of Sam Darnold and Justin Jefferson over 800 miles away.

The Vikings are also 14-2 thus meaning that it’s the biggest game of the season for both sides so far with the winner claiming homefield advantage whilst the loser will enter as a wild card team and consequently be on the road.

So with both times featuring blistering offense and the permutations and context in mind, this has all the makings to be the NFL’s game of the season and it’s clear how much the Campbell household wants it based on Dan‘s wife’s post.

“Next we TAKE THE NORTH,” Holly Campbell posted to Instagram Stories for 61,200 followers, along with a photo of her husband as he smiled on Apple’s FaceTime feature with her whilst welcoming in the New Year.

Goff and Gibbs shine against 49ers

The Lions enter the game on the back of a tough challenge against the San Francisco 49ers as the latter allowed victory to slip away from them in a 40-34 contest due to Jake Moody‘s inconsistent kicking.

The 25-year-old missed both his field goal attempts and a point-after effort allowing Detroit to escape with a crucial win and putting his own position as the starter in Kyle Shanahan’s side under pressure.

But it was the Lions‘ quarterback and running back that kept them in play throughout the night at the Levi’s Stadium.

Jared Goff passed for 303 yards and three touchdowns without allowing an interception and went 76% from 34 attempts, whilst Gibbs made 117 rushing yards on 18 carries for a touchdown.
