Rebecca Loos, the former personal assistant to David Beckham, is once again making accusations of an affair she allegedly had with the footballer more than 20 years ago
In a recent interview with 60 Minutes Australia, Loos reaffirmed what she said at the time: that she had an affair with Beckham while he was married to Victoria Beckham. Despite the famous footballer’s denials, Loos insists that she has always told the truth and that she never exaggerated the details of her version of events.The story goes back to 2003, when Loos began working with Beckham following his move to Real Madrid. According to Loos, during that time, she became one of the footballer’s closest confidants, being the first person to see him in the morning and the last at night.

It was then that, according to her statements, the relationship that the media came to know years later began. Loos claims that, at a time when Victoria Beckham was out of town, Beckham invited her to a hotel, starting a relationship that lasted several months according to People.
“I was the first, I fell completely into every word he said to me,” Loos said in the interview, recalling how the footballer seduced her with his charm
However, after a while, Loos began to feel that she had been manipulated, especially when she realised that Beckham was flirting with other women, such as at Ronaldo’s birthday party, where she saw him with a beautiful model. “It was a tough night for me. I realised that I had got carried away with it all,” Loos said.
Throughout the interview, Loos reiterated that she never made anything up and that her accusations were always sincere. “I never lied, I never exaggerated. I only had the truth on my side,” she said
She also highlighted the bravery she felt in standing up to the powerful media couple of Beckham and Victoria. Despite the pressure of public opinion and the power of the Beckhams, Loos stands by her story.
The former assistant also spoke about the emotional impact the whole media situation had on her. She said that although she tried to be strong and brave at the time, the experience was traumatic and she had to work for a long time to heal.
However, Loos also considers that speaking publicly about the issue was “a way to regain some control over her life and her story.”
Now, after years of change, Loos is pursuing a new career as a certified yoga and meditation instructor, as well as working as a physician assistant. Despite her new professional focus, she still remembers what happened in the past, keeping her accusations intact.
Meanwhile, David and Victoria Beckham are moving on with their family life. In their 2023 documentary series, Beckham, they both spoke about the challenges they faced in their marriage during the years Beckham was in Madrid, without mentioning Loos or her allegations.
Victoria highlighted that this was one of the most difficult times of her life, although the couple are still together and seemingly stronger than ever.
