Dennis Rodman has to deny his death

NBA legend Dennis Rodman has had to take the unusual step of coming out and confirming that he has not died.

False reports spread on social media on April 1 claiming that Rodman had passed away, but he has since confirmed that he is ‘alive and well’.

An April Fools Day prank claimed that the former Chicago Bulls player had died from an ‘autoerotic asphyxiation accident’.

Only hours after the rumor had gone completely viral, Rodman shared an Instagram post to put his fans’ fears to rest.

“Yesss Sirr Alive and Well What’s up,” he wrote, alongside a picture of him giving the camera a two thumbs up while sporting a red Chicago Bulls hat.

His fans were quick to leave comments expressing how relieved they were.

“I swear I was just coming to check,” one person wrote, while another added: “Definitely came straight here.”

“I was just coming to check,” a third reiterated. “As I got older I realized Dennis Rodman was that dude for real.”

Rodman’s strained relationship with Trinity

One of the most recent reasons for Rodman to be in the press was his daughter discussing the rocky relationship that she has with her father.

Trinity Rodman is also an athlete, as she plays soccer for the United States Women’s National Team.

She appeared on Alex Cooper‘s ‘Call Her Daddy’ podcast in December 2024 and revealed how strained the relationship is.

“We never want to make him look bad and that is at the cost of holding in a lot,” Trinity said after she was asked why she felt this was the right time to speak out about her father. “I guess it’s just the anger that I haven’t been able to let out is like difficult for me.

“I answer the phone [when he calls] now for my conscience to be like, he needed to hear my voice before anything happens. Like that’s why I answer the phone, not for me… He’s not a dad. By blood, but nothing else.”
