Larsa Younan revealed her divorce from the NBA‘s Scottie Pippen cost her far more than just money as the television star admitted to losing friends as she called time on her marriage after 24 years.
The 50-year-old is known for featuring in Bravo’s The Real Housewives of Miami series but prior to that had connections through her relationship with the Chicago Bulls‘ legend, who won six championships alongside Michael Jordan.
She married the basketballer in 1997 and they spent 24 years together until she decided to end their marriage, and Younan confessed the split opened her eyes to some of the people who only befriended her for her connections.
But determinedly, she leveraged that to benefit herself but cutting them out of her life as she found her feet as she explained to one of her close friends, Michelle Pooch on Monday, December 30.
“The first time I felt like I started losing friends is when I was going through a divorce,” Younan told Going Rogue. “And I really realized that a lot of people in my life liked me just for being Scotty‘s wife.
“And then that was the first like you know, cleanse! It was like me going through my divorce; me losing a lot of people along the way, and then I had other friends.
“They basically liked me more when I was Scotty‘s wife and not necessarily Larsa, and I was trying to figure out who Larsa was. I didn’t know how to navigate being single.”
Who is Larsa Pippen dating in 2025?
Since leaving the 59-year-old Pippen in 2021, who she had four children with, Younan has had one public relationship and that was with Marcus Jordan, an entrepreneur who is the son of Michael Jordan.
The couple dated from 2022 but broke up in July 2024 as Younan appeared to suggest that emotionally over-committing to him impacted her mental health, peace of mind, self-love and ultimately happiness.
