On Tuesday night, ABC News hosted a debate between Kamala Harris and Donald Trump, and let me tell you, it was quite the showdown. They didn’t hold back and threw plenty of jabs at each other during their time onstage.
Harris didn’t mince words when she referred to Trump as a “disgrace” during their discussion about foreign policies. She pointed out, “It is absolutely well known that these dictators and autocrats are rooting for you to be president again because they’re so clear they can manipulate you with flattery and favors. And that is why so many military leaders, who you have worked with, have told me you are a disgrace.” That’s a pretty strong statement.
On the other hand, Trump didn’t hold back either and referred to Harris as the “worst Vice President” in the history of the United States. Talk about a heated exchange!
Former NFL wide receiver Torrey Smith also chimed in with his thoughts on Trump’s performance during the debate. As a two-time Super Bowl champion, Smith didn’t hold back and believes that Trump really embarrassed himself.
He even questioned the Republican Party for not finding a better option. Smith wrote, “I’m still amazed there was no better option for Trump for the republican party. This shit is embarrassing.” It’s clear that Smith was not impressed with Trump’s performance.
Torrey Smith calls out Trump
It’s safe to say that Smith won’t be casting his vote for Trump this November based on his social media post. As a former NFL player, Smith had quite the career, playing for the Baltimore Ravens, San Francisco 49ers, Philadelphia Eagles, and Carolina Panthers from 2011 to 2018. He definitely left his mark on the field with 319 receptions for 5,141 yards and 41 touchdowns.
As for the debate itself, it was a fiery exchange between Harris and Trump. The tension was palpable as they sparred over their policies and records. It’s clear that both of them are gunning for the top spot, and they’re not holding back in their criticisms of each other.
Overall, it’s safe to say that this debate left an impression on everyone who tuned in. The stakes are high, and the competition is fierce. It will be interesting to see how this plays out as we get closer to Election Day.
