The Miami Heat are set to immortalize one of their greatest players, Dwyane Wade, with a statue outside the Kaseya Center this upcoming season.

The announcement, which holds a special connection to Wade’s storied career, has sparked excitement among NBA fans and the Miami Heat community.

The unveiling of Wade’s statue is scheduled for October 27th, 2024, just one day before the 21st anniversary of his NBA debut with the Heat.

The event, which will take place on the west plaza of Kaseya Center, is free and open to the public, with tickets available for reservation starting September 30th.

Wade, who was recently inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame, will be joined by notable figures from the Miami Heat organization, including Managing General Partner Micky Arison, President Pat Riley, and Head Coach Erik Spoelstra.

In addition to honoring Wade’s accomplishments on the court, the ceremony will also feature live performances by Miami’s own Rick Ross and Maybach Music Group’s rising artist, Nino Breeze.

The bronze statue, created by Rotblatt Amrany Studio, a renowned sculptor team behind iconic sports statues such as Michael Jordan’s“The Spirit” in Chicago and the Kobe Bryant“Black Mamba” in Los Angeles, will celebrate Wade’s legacy not only as a Miami Heat legend but also as one of the NBA’s all-time greats.

The timing of this event is significant, as Wade made his NBA debut on October 28, 2003, launching what would become a remarkable career spanning 16 seasons-15 of them with the Heat.

The Heat will continue celebrating Wade’s legacy on October 28th, during the game against the Detroit Pistons, marking “Dwyane Wade Statue Night.”

A special halftime presentation is planned, including a tribute to Wade’s illustrious career and his impact on the franchise.

Fans in attendance will have the opportunity to witness Wade address the crowd during the event, as video highlights of his achievements are played throughout the evening.

Dwyane Wade is widely regarded as the greatest player in Miami Heat history.

Over his 16-year career, Wade won three NBA championships, was named NBA Finals MVP, and earned 13 NBA All-Star selections, among numerous other accolades.

He played a key role in transforming the Heat into a perennial contender, leading the franchise through some of its most successful years.

The unveiling of Wade’s statue cements his status as an icon, not just in Miami, but across the entire basketball world.

Wade joins an exclusive list of NBA legends, such as Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant, who have also been honored with statues for their lasting impact on the sport.
