The Philadelphia Eagles are in Brazil getting ready to start their NFL season against the Green Bay Packers and the players and coaches are 100% focused on football and getting off the right foot.

However, the front office and the advertising department have other things to deal with. All over Philadelphia there have been seen a great number of political ads endorsing Kamala Harris for President of the United States with the team’s logo on them.

These ads have been put on bus stops in which a cartoon character version of the democratic party candidate is seen holding a football and wearing an Eagles helmet. The poster reads “Kamala: Official Candidate of the Philadelphia Eagles” underneath the team logo.

After this situation broke out, the team’s social media department posted a message in which they clarify they have nothing to do with this, independent from the fact that within the organization there might be democrats and probably republicans as well.

The team says they are not involved

“We are aware counterfeit political ads are being circulated and are working with our advertising partner to have them removed,” the team posted on X, formerly known as Twitter. But this was not the only strange thing.

The ads also feature a web page link, philadelphiaeagles.com/vote, which takes you to a voter registration page on the Eagles’ official website. The webpage shows past Pennsylvania and New Jersey primary election voting deadlines and investigations have begun.

The link also provides other web site URLs for first-time voters, polling locations and guidelines on voting registration and requesting a ballot, something that could come in handy but. The website does not feature endorsements for any particular candidates.

It has been known that the poster was designed by artist Winston Tseng, who has a history of spreading political propaganda by using familiar brands and the Eagles are already on him for this situation.
