The inaugural ElevenLabs Worldwide Hackathon has concluded, with the event showcasing a range of innovative projects from participants around the globe. The hackathon, held virtually to include a global audience, brought together hundreds of builders who collaborated across time zones, fostering a spirit of innovation and cooperation.

Top Honors for Hugo Tour Guide

Claiming the first prize in the competition was Hugo Tour Guide, an AI-driven travel companion designed to enhance travel experiences by planning routes, providing local insights, and answering cultural and historical questions in real-time. The project was developed by a team from California, USA, comprising Yilun Sun, Qiang Fang, David Chen, and Aiden Zhao. This feature-rich application aims to offer a personalized travel experience, and the team plans to further develop Hugo into a market-ready product. Each team member was awarded an Apple Mac Mini to aid in their continued development efforts.

Pep: Revolutionizing Physical Therapy

The second-place accolade went to Pep – Your Compassionate Physical Therapy Agent. This innovative project utilizes AI to provide real-time coaching to patients undergoing physical therapy, helping them maintain their exercise routines. Developed by Feng Yan and Lora Xie, who collaborated from the US and China, the project highlights the potential of AI in healthcare. The team received a Teenage Engineering OB-4 portable loudspeaker as their prize.

Agent SFX: Enhancing Game Development

Third place was awarded to Agent SFX, a suite of tools designed to generate voiceovers and sound effects for video games. Utilizing vision models from fal.ai, the project analyzes game structures to create audio assets, initially built for the Godot game engine. Created by Arian Allenson Valdez and Maria Mikhaela Magpoc from the Philippines, the team plans to expand their solution to other gaming platforms. They were each awarded a Shure MV6 microphone to support their future endeavors.

Beyond the main prizes, ElevenLabs’ partners contributed additional awards, recognizing the diverse talents and innovative solutions presented during the hackathon. These partner prizes further underscore the collaborative spirit and creativity at the heart of the event.
