In a surprising turn of events, Pink has emerged as Australia’s highest-grossing touring artist of 2024, surpassing Taylor Swift’s much-hyped Eras tour.
Pink’s Summer Carnival world tour broke records, with over one million tickets sold across 20 sold-out stadiums nationwide, solidifying her enduring popularity Down Under.
Pink, born Alecia Moore, kicked off her Australian tour in February with a series of electrifying performances at Sydney’s Accor Stadium before heading to Brisbane and Townsville. The tour set a benchmark for live performances in Australia, with Live Nation Australasia confirming that Pink achieved more shows in a single tour than any artist before her.

While Pink reigned supreme, Taylor Swift’s Eras tour was also a massive success, drawing over 600,000 fans. Swift shattered attendance records, with 96,000 fans at each of her three Melbourne shows and 83,000 per night across four Sydney performances. However, controversy surrounded Swift’s Sydney leg after fans discovered tickets were given away for free at the venue, leaving some frustrated.
Coldplay also made an impact, selling 338,000 tickets during their Australian tour, but neither artist could match Pink’s impressive numbers.
Despite her achievements, reports suggest Pink was unhappy with the lack of media attention during her tour. Australian singer Sam Fischer revealed in an interview that Pink felt overshadowed by Swift’s overwhelming press coverage, despite selling out stadiums across the country.
