Get ready for more NFL head coaches doing live in-game interviews this season

The NFL season is almost here, and the fans are ready for it. Some changes will occur soon, whether if it’s the probable 18-game season or the upgrades and protection novelties for the uniforms or other things that could be in the works.

However, the fans will see more of Kansas City head coach Andy Reid and the rest of the head coaches of the teams around the league. Pro Football Talk has discovered that NFL coaches will be required to give live interviews during games, which is something that has not happened before.

Head coaches have been interviewed during a broadcast in the past but either before the start or end of a quarter. This new broadcast rule will happen because of a contract clause among the 2,506 pages of the Sunday Ticket trial transcript.

There is proof of the new broadcasting rules

Cathy Yancy, the NFL’s V.P. of broadcasting rights, policies, and compliance testified with a clear idea of what will happen. “This year, we have a new policy going into effect where all of the clubs are going to have to make a head coach available live for an interview during the game,” Yancy said, according to Pro Football Talk.

“Each team has to provide a head coach; one in the first half, one in the second half. And that’s for all teams, and it’s available for all TV partners.” The reason behind all this is that “it’s good for the broadcast, it’s good for the fans.”

While the media is not sure that this will be something the coaches will love, the fans might enjoy, although the thing is that if the coaches do not cooperate with good content, the fans might not be pleased eventually.
