Gibert Arenas tears into Larsa Pippen for continuing to use Scottie Pippen‘s name, four years after the reality television star divorced the Chicago Bulls legend as she insists she won’t change her name.
Born Younan, Larsa adopted the Pippen name in 1997 when she married the NBA star, who went on to claim six championships alongside Michael Jordan. However, their divorce was finalized in 2021.
Yet despite this, The Real Housewives of Miami star continues to use the basketball great’s name for her professional appearances – despite having a long-term relationship since then too.
She dated Michael Jordan‘s son, Marcus, until 2024 before they finally split up with each other after a few years; although they did have plans in the works to become engaged and eventually to get married.
Now Arenas, who played in the NBA from 2001-2013 and is a three-time All-Star, makes a petition to the 50-year-old to revert back to her original name, stop bringing shame to the Pippen and Jordan names and to stay away from LeBron James‘ family.
“As soon as I seen him in Paris and they caught him the first time, I didn’t even say Marcus,” Arenas told DJ Vlad. “I said, ‘That damn Pippen.’
“This is crazy, like I can’t even say Pippen anymore. That Larsa – hey, can you please drop the good Pippen name?
You’re just putting dirt on the Pippen name at this f**king point. The father’s clean, the f**king kids are amazing…
“Whatever blood you have in that Pippen – that not the Pippen but the Larsa blood gene, can you drop the Pippen name?”
Who is Larsa Pippen dating in 2025?
Arenas can rest easy knowing that Pippen is currently not on the market as Larsa finds himself in a relationship with Jeff Coby, who played for the Westchester Knicks in 2018; an affiliate of the NBA’s New York Knicks.
Coby penned a deal with the New York Knicks in October 2018 on a free agent basis, but didn’t manage to make it work. He seems to have most recently played for the Yamaguchi Pats Five in Japan.
