Travis Hunter might not be making any friends with Josh Allen or Joe Burrow as the Heisman Trophy winner backs the Baltimore Ravens’ Lamar Jackson to win the NFL MVP prize after a stellar season at the M&T Bank Stadium.
The 28-year-old passed for 4172 yards and 41 touchdowns throughout 2024/25, for 66.7%. He also made four rushing touchdowns on 915 yards and allowed an astonishingly low four interceptions across the entire regular season.
His efforts led the Ravens to another AFC North title, ahead of the 10-7 Pittsburgh Steelers, as they book their place in the playoffs once again. That incredible campaign has left the Colorado Buffaloes’ Hunter very impressed.
“There ain’t nothing to be said about this,” Hunter said on his podcast. “He’s [Jackson] having a record-breaking season.

“Give him the crown. Give him the MVP he deserves it. He done everything he can at this point. He’s got to take it home. The best player this year. He’s literally the trophy.”
If Jackson hopes to take his second MVP title he needs to fend off not just the Buffalo Bills’ Allen and Cincinnati Bengals’ Burrow for the prize, but the likes of the Philadelphia Eagles’ Saquon Barkley, Washington Commanders’ Jayden Daniels and Detroit Lions’ Jared Goff.
The 2024/25 NFL MVP will be announced at the 13th annual honors ceremony on February 8. It can be watched live on CBS Sports and NFL Network, as well as via Paramount+ and NFL+.
Who do the Ravens play next?
The Baltimore Ravens qualified for the 2024/25 NFL Playoffs via the Wild Card games so they will next be in action on January 12 as they take on the Pittsburgh Steelers at the MT&T Bank Stadium. Kick-off is from 20:00 ET/17:00 PT.
The winner awaits the Buffalo Bills in the next round of the competition. The Kansas City Chiefs received a First Round bye after leading the AFC Conference in the regular season.
