Let’s take a trip back to the 2000s, before Instagram, TikTok, and Twitter took over. Phones were just for calls and texts, and stepping outside was second nature. Now, imagine that era with a touch of Barbie and you have Barbie’s latest phone release.
In collaboration with Nokia phone maker Human Mobile Devices, Mattel has joined forces to launch the nostalgic “Barbie Flip Phone.”
The phone is Barbie pink, complete with a front mirror for quick makeup checks. It comes with two replaceable covers: a swirl design inspired by the 1992 “Totally Hair Barbie” doll and a “Vintage Shooting Heart” case. You’ll also get sticker sheets, diamanté crystals, and a pink beaded strap with Barbie-themed charms.
To support mindfulness, the phone includes Barbie wallpapers and icons focused on well-being, plus a cheerful “Hi Barbie” voice greeting when you turn it on. The sound effects are girly and sparkly, reminiscent of a Barbie movie.
