The Cincinnati Bengals have locked in their top two wide receivers for the long haul.
According to Fox Sports’ Jordan Schultz, Ja’Marr Chasehas agreed to a record-setting four-year, $161 million contract, while Tee Higgins has signed a four-year, $115 million deal.
Chase’s Historic Deal and Dominance on the Field
Chase, a four-time Pro Bowler, made his contract demands clear by staging a “hold-in” during training camp. Though he attended, he refrained from participating until a long-term deal was secured, leaving his Week 1 availability against the New England Patriots in doubt.
However, when he hit the field, Chase delivered a historic season. He led the NFL in receptions (127), receiving yards (1,708), and touchdown catches (17)-securing the elusive receiving triple crown.
The Bengals had already exercised Chase’s 2025 fifth-year option, guaranteeing him $21.8 million, but it was only a matter of time before they rewarded him with a massive extension.
Through his first three seasons, the 24-year-old has totaled 268 receptions for 3,717 yards and 29 touchdowns. While defenses adjusted to his explosive rookie campaign (18.0 yards per catch), Chase evolved into a more well-rounded receiver, excelling in all areas of the passing game.
His chemistry with Joe Burrow, dating back to their LSU days, made this deal a no-brainer for Cincinnati.

Higgins Lands His Long-Awaited Extension
After playing on the franchise tag last season, Higgins, 26, was tagged again this offseason-until the Bengals locked him up with a four-year extension.
A vital piece of Cincinnati’s offense, Higgins has recorded 330 receptions for 4,595 yards and 34 touchdowns over five seasons. Despite injuries limiting him to 12 games last year, he still produced 73 catches for 911 yards and 10 touchdowns.
With the cost of elite wide receivers skyrocketing, the Bengals faced a crucial decision. But with Burrow publicly advocating to keep the offensive core intact, it was clear Cincinnati would pay up.
Now, with Chase and Higgins secured, the Bengals ensure their passing attack remains among the league’s most dangerous for years to come.
