Immutable (IMX), a leading Web3 gaming platform, has announced a strategic partnership with blockchain technology firm GRAMPUS CWC to bring innovative games to the Immutable zkEVM platform, according to immutable.com.
Bringing Popular Titles to Immutable’s Ecosystem
GRAMPUS CWC is set to onboard two key titles to the Immutable platform. The first is Norma in Metaland, a Web3 reboot of the widely popular Cooking Adventure, which has amassed over 33 million players worldwide across mobile and PC platforms. The second title, My Merge Chef, is scheduled for release next year and builds on the chef “Norma” universe, offering players a streamlined and intuitive gameplay experience.
Immutable zkEVM: Powering the Future of Gaming
Immutable zkEVM, powered by Polygon, aims to facilitate frictionless experiences for players and grow game economies. The platform emphasizes not only the creation of great games but also making it easier for studios to build them, benefiting players, studios, and developers alike.
Andrew Sorokovsky, VP of Global Business Development at Immutable, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, stating, “We’re thrilled to have GRAMPUS join the Immutable gaming family. Their deep experience with Web2 titles, combined with the strength of Immutable zkEVM, will help them break new ground in the Web3 gaming space.”
A Partnership Built for Web3 Innovation
This collaboration aims to push the boundaries of what’s possible in gaming. Robbie Ferguson, co-founder and president of Immutable, highlighted the partnership’s potential to redefine digital ownership in gaming. He noted, “Every single year, gamers spend 150 billion dollars (USD) on in-game transactions for items they don’t own and can’t sell. Our vision is to create a world where that is real value, that they can own, trade, sell, use in other games, and ultimately have property rights over.”
John CHO, CW3O of GRAMPUS, echoed this sentiment, emphasizing the synergy between the two companies’ expertise in Web2 and Web3 fields. He added, “We plan to do our best to provide games with the original fun of games and Web3 experience, including ‘Norma in Metaland’ and ‘My Merge Chef’ scheduled for release next year.”
Bridging Web2 and Web3
GRAMPUS CWC’s strategy extends beyond these initial titles. The company plans to launch their casual shooter ‘Juicy Adventure‘ on the GRAM Ecosystem as a Web3 early access version within the year, followed by a Web2 version next year. This aligns with Immutable’s mission to bring true digital ownership and cutting-edge gaming experiences to players globally.
The partnership with GRAMPUS CWC underscores Immutable’s commitment to supporting innovative projects and shaping the future of gaming on its platform. Currently, over 400 games are being built on Immutable, showcasing its robust ecosystem and forward-thinking approach.
